Rosedale Landcare News 2015
June 2015
Another glorious winters day after 3 days of rain, how lucky were we!
A huge thank you to Damon Lane and his Green Army team who spent the day helping us with planting, mulching and weeding. What a difference a team of young healthy workers make.
Please see the attached photos to see the how the day was spent, better still, go and have a look when you get the opportunity . We would value your feedback and suggestions.
Again I would like to thank my faithful helpers Harry Tischler, and David Mackenzie for their manpower and Kit Tischler for providing the boys with their favourite chocolate chip cookies for morning tea!
Unfortunately our volunteer numbers have dwindled to an unsustainable number. David travels from Canberra to help out so it is a huge effort on his behalf and to be honest, without him Landcare would not be able to survive here at Rosedale.
We have been seeking a new Landcare co-ordinator for nearly 2 years now without success. If anyone has any ideas of how we can turn this around I would appreciate it.
Another working bee will be planned for sometime in August/September. As soon as we have a date I will again be seeking help from you.
Cheers for now,
Jane Enright on behalf of Rosedale Landcare
